High temperature wires are generally defined as wires with a rated temperature of 125 ℃ or above, but "high temperature" can sometimes refer to products with a rated temperature as low as 90 ℃. High temperature cables can be divided into single core or multi-core, usually composed of conductors (usually annealed copper, tin plated copper, pure copper or nickel-copper) and insulation materials. Some high-temperature cables may also use glass fiber fabrics or fiber materials as outer protection. Below we will introduce the physical characteristics of PTFE insulated wires and the application of high-temperature wires.
Physical characteristics of high-temperature PTFE wires:
1. Non-stick: Almost all substances do not stick to PTFE coatings, and thin film like PTFE also exhibits good non stick properties.
2. Heat resistance: Polytetrafluoroethylene coating has excellent heat and low temperature resistance, can withstand high temperatures of 300 ℃ in a short period of time, and can generally be used continuously in the range of 240 ℃ to 260 ℃, with significant thermal stability; It will not become brittle when working at freezing temperatures and will not melt in high temperature environments.
3. Sliding performance: The friction coefficient of polytetrafluoroethylene coating is low, and even if the friction coefficient changes during load sliding, the value is only between 0.05-0.15.
4. Moisture resistance: The surface of the PTFE coating is not wet or oily, and is not easily contaminated with solutions during production operations; Even if there is a small amount of dirt stuck, it can be easily wiped off, which can shorten downtime, save time, and improve work efficiency.
5. Wear resistance: Under high load conditions, polytetrafluoroethylene coating has excellent wear resistance, while also possessing the dual advantages of wear resistance and non adhesion.
6. Corrosion resistance: Polytetrafluoroethylene is widely used in industries that require high temperature resistance and high corrosion resistance. Even strong superacid fluoroantimonic acid can be safely stored by it.

High temperature wire is suitable for fixed laying transmission and distribution lines with AC rated voltage of 0.6/1kV and below, and can be used for power transmission or motor lead wires. It has the characteristics of high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, acid and alkali resistance, corrosive gas resistance, waterproofing, etc. In high temperature environments, its electrical performance is stable, its current carrying capacity is large, and its service life is long. It is widely used in industries such as power, petrochemicals, large buildings, and automobile manufacturing. Common models such as FF, FFP, F22, FFP2, FV22 and other silicone rubber insulated sheathed control cables, as well as KGGP silicone rubber insulated sheathed control soft cables, KGGP silicone rubber insulated sheathed copper wire braided shielding control cables, KGGRP silicone rubber insulated sheathed copper wire braided shielding control soft cables, etc., are suitable for circuits with AC rated voltage of 450/750V, with good thermal stability, and can maintain excellent electrical performance and flexibility in high temperature, low temperature, corrosion and other environments. They are widely used in industries such as metallurgy, power, and petrochemicals.
